Using Tcl since 1994 to:

• Build a distributed design validation tool for a distributed transaction management system
• Build distributed management mechansims for serveral systems
• Build a user support server product that supports 1.5 million simultaneous user connections
• Lots of other tools, product components, etc

I love using Tcl, but I usually have had to do lots of C/C++ and Java in order to stay employed.

I usually manage to build a lot of Tcl around the edges of these systems, however.
